Comic Rik Mayall, who is recovering from a quad bike accident' has asked his wife: 'Why are all those bastards always sticking needles into me?'
The comedy actor suffered serious head injuries after he crashed on his farm at East Allington in south Devon.
'We know he is on the mend,' said his wife Barbara, who is at his bedside.
