COMIC Rik Mayall looks like winning his fight for life after his horrific quad-bike accident.
Doctors said Young Ones star Rik was continuing to make progress in intensive care afer suffering serious head injuries when the 600lb bike overturned trapping him underneath.
And yesterday the actor's wife Barbara, who spent her third day at his bedside in Plymouth said: "We're all very hopeful.
"He's still going through the critical stage, but we think he's okay."
Barbara called paramedics four days ago after finding Rik, 39, trapped unconscious beneath the £5,000 bike at their farm in East Allington, Devon.
He is thought to have hit a ramp which flipped the bike on a steep field.
